Personally Idc.. 20 mins SC is fine.. If you dislike SC, just use oldschool teams..

Did you complain about FoWsc before UW was nerfed? NO...
Stop it...

Never underestimate the will of the hardcores to drive the price of everything into the billions and then the trillions so they will be the only ones left with things to "show-off" to us "noobs". People will always btch about SF, that, is a given truth, you fix FoW, they btch about something else, you fix that, they continue to btch and btch. It's like a kid who will only stop crying when he's got everything he wanted. So don't expect these btching to stop anytime soon, or later, for that matter. Go ahead, btch and flame, but guess what? Don't think Mommy Anet is gonna give you what you want, kids.

Ensure that all party members can use a summoning stone each, and it will probably make more people form player teams :/

Right now, you are the only kid bitching about us trying to take away your I-Win toy. You are the one who gets everything you want. If you like winning with no risk or effort so much, go to Oblivion, spawn yourself the best armor and weapons in the game and kill level 2 mobs. Obviously the concept of a "MMO Economy" is foreign to you.

I never had billions or trillions. The most I have ever had was about 300k, and even I think it's very little. I just know things are bad for the game the way they are.

You know how to fix UW, FoW and everything else revolving SF? Nerf SF. Or reverse it to the way it was before. Status quo will work better than anything A.Net is going to throw.

Yep. I was one of the people who also believed FoWsc was next after UW finally got "fixed". It's only natural- take away something and the QQ-crowd goes to the next best thing. Sadly, farmers will be farmers.

Look, the problem with all these area's was/is shadow form. If you "solve" the Shadow Form problem, you'll solve everything.

I'm not advocating to nerf shadow form into oblivion. Apparently, there is a fanbase that enjoys grinding for loot as much and as fast as possible. You shouldn't take all the toys of that fanbase away. However, right now, the skill's just too good in too many places. So toning it down is actually feasible.

By balanced do you mean balanced as in a varied team or balanced as in the shitty W+E+Mo+N gimmick commonly referred to as "Balanced"?

Because the latter was a terrible sort of cancer all of its own. It was like Shadow Form except instead of "You must play Assassin," it was "you must play one of these few classes and something derivative of this build."

Playing 4 or 5 classes out of 10 is still better than 1 out of 10.

Still, I think the holy trinity you were refering to was crappy. Solid, but slow and ineffective when compared to the really balanced team - physical way, for instance.

If only there was one skill they could just balance to solve all these excessive farming problems...

Whenever there will be an area worth doing there's SF that will own it. What most intelligent people understanding the game's mechanics knew mere days (or even minutes) after the ridiculous buff is the truth that one skill that absurdly overpowered is able to ruin the entire game. 1 single skill is a problem and a fix is so simple.

Its no debate that SF has turned titles like master of the north from how many dungeons you need to beat into how many assassin runs you need.

Ah sweet. The 'if you don't like it, don't use it' argument again.

Also, this debate is not about the ectoez

The solution is so simple! Monsters get an extra 9th-skill which ensures that most mobs has some enchant-removal, interrupt and other annoying stuff. Or even better: a 9th-monster skills that does all that at the same time.

Game Design is indeed fun .

OT: As many said, it's an arms' race. But farmers are chasing an invisible chicken.

Would be nice but not the case. if they do nerf it, the people whining will whine about the next best build or the new one that comes out of it.

Debatable, personally SF has no effect on my enjoyment of gws. Some people like it, others hate it. And others like myself don't care at all.

Monks run dungeons as well, and probably makes them next in the crosshairs for whining if sf gets nerfed.

I really don't get what the "debate" is about anymore. There does seem to be alot who whine about it for ecto reasons.

Then there are the ones saying stuff like, "I can't play the game because I am not running a sin with shadowform". I play just fine on any my characters with friends and have fun doing so. I also pointed out with so many seeming like minded people, I fail to see how not being able to form groups with like minded people is anything but unwillingness to put the effort in.

The counter to this is, "even if we did it wouldn't be as efficient." So what? If you are playing and enjoying the game what does it matter if one group's fun is more efficient than your group.

Then there are the people that are upset because it makes hardmode / dungeons / elite areas doable quickly. Counter to this is how horrible rewards get the longer it takes to finish unless you get lucky on end chest drop.

Meh, would adding a time stamp to end chest from entering the area make this group happy? Each end chest's loot gets better the longer it takes to finish the objective to spawn it. (with a set time for optimal clear break off point decided by I guess Anet on how long it should take)

Anything Anet does will make some mad, and some happy. The whining wont stop, it will just be a different group complaining. And the cycle starts again.

I remember way back in the day I teamed up with ShadowspawnX and some other friends of his and we cleared FoW twice in the same day. It made me feel like a god. I wish this game still provided that same sense of accomplishment, but it got watered down with OP crap bigtime.
